Thank you for visiting our site. En plein air is a French expression which means "in the open air", and is particularly used to describe the act of painting outdoors. Artists have long painted outdoors, but in the mid-1800s working in natural light became particularly important to painters.
We are located in north Central Florida serving Marion and portions of Alachua, Citrus, Lake and Sumter counties.
We meet to paint on location on the first Saturday of the month. We are an informal group that love to paint outdoors and share with others any new painting tips with our members.
